Feature Favourites: May

Firstly I apologise for missing a few posts over the last 10 days, I’ve been away on a road trip with my friends and so, as a result, my blogging has suffered. I have included some holiday snaps to make up for it! 😀

This month I have been super busy and June doesn’t seem like it will be any quieter at this rate!

So, without further a do, lets talk favourites!

Nescafe Instant Caramel Coffee
Now it may seem really pricey, but when you work out how many drinks it’ll make you, it’s so worth it. This coffee smells amazing and tastes so much better than a regular coffee. If caramel isn’t your thing, fear not! There are lots of different flavours within the range.

Revlon Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick
Now, there isn’t no denying I agree with majority when I say the finish isn’t matte. However it is such a lovely formula and it smells so nice as well! It lasts for a long time, fades well and reapplies beautifully. The packaging is also very sleek. I have the most nude shade Seduction but there are plenty of bold colours to choose from as well.

Cath Kidston Wash/Make Up Bag
I found that I was running out of space for my make up when I travelled using a regular make up bag, so on one of my recent trips to Edinburgh (because we don’t have a CK where I live *sob*) I bought myself this beautiful bag. I can now fit everything in and it is just so pretty!

Becca & Jaclyn Hill Highlight in Champagne Pop
This is undeniably the most heavenly of all highlighters. It provides a truly beautiful shimmery glow. All the while, still maintaining a natural look! I cannot recommend it enough, it’s worth the splurge.

TK Maxx Trio of Drawers
I am a sucker for TK Maxx, as most of you will already know. When I saw these cute little drawers I popped them straight into my basket. I am currently using them to store my individual blushes but I am yet to decide what the other drawers are for. Yes, I know, impulse buy. But it makes me happy when I see it, so it’s all good, right? 😉

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
I didn’t think I would ever sway from UD’s Concealer however I fancied a change when I got to the end of the bottle. NARS have not disappointed. I got the shade Vanilla which is the perfect shade for me. It doesn’t crease, or go clumpy or look drying over time. It’s brill!

As promised some holiday snaps for you, to make up for my late post!

Feature Favourites: April

As I sit down to write my Favourites’ post, it looks & feels more like November outside than the end of April/beginning of May! It’s 5° and raining. A lot.

Anyways, it has been a good month for new discoveries and purchases so let’s get cracking!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette
Whilst technically not brand new, it was new to me this month. I bought this from a lovely lady on Depop who had only lightly use the blushes. It includes Luminous Flush, Incandescent Electra and Mood Exposure. To be honest I have barely used anything other than this palette for blushes this month, the colours are so versatile and pigmented. It’s so beautiful.

Stila ‘In the Light’ Palette
I’m really loving Stila Eyeshadows at the moment, I have developed a little collection and this is my newest find. It was reduced to half price on the Stila website so I got it for £12.50 which is a total steal! It includes beautiful shades including Kitten (which admittedly I also have in another palette but is a stunning shade) and my other favourite Sunset, which is a beautiful copper/bronze shade. You cannot go wrong with this palette, it comes with a ‘look book’ if you’re unsure what look to go for, and also a waterproof smudge eye pencil!

Radley Chelsea Bag
I accidentally bought another Radley bag. Oops.
How could I resist when I saw it in TK Maxx (and I’ve never seen Radley in TK’s before) and it was half the original price. It’s slightly smaller than my other Radley, and obviously a different colour. I love it just as much!

Marks and Spencer Per Una Rain Coat
Now clearly you can’t head into a British summer without a rain coat – that would just be silly. I am also going to be visiting places it tends to rain – Scotland, Wales and the Lake District. Therefore, this is a great investment for me. I love the contrast between the navy and the yellow, and the fact it pulls in at the waist. It’s practical and stylish, bravo M&S!

MAC Lipstick in Persistence
I may be a little late to the party, but my most recent addition to my MAC Lipstick collection is this beauty. It’s the perfect mauve with brown undertones which is a classic statement look perfect for any occasion.

Notice Board & Pins
I started a photo wall this month and as part of that I purchased this lovely notice board and push pins (from Etsy). I love pastel shades and think they grey board looks great with these polaroids.
I got these pictures printed by LaLaLab, for which I have a code for £5 off… Just download the app and enter the code at checkout: PGBUYKJ9.

So this is what I’ve been loving throughout the month of April. If you have any suggestions for May, please let me know!

Feature Favourites: March

Call the police. Someone stole March!

It’s over already. A whole 31 days have passed us by again and it is time for my March Favourites.

Time flies when you’re having fun.

So, what have I been loving throughout the month of March? Well it has been a good month for make up. I’ve been rediscovering a few old faithfuls, like my MAC Mineralise Skinfinish which since finding translucent powders hasn’t had much love from me. I have had a few trips to TK’s as per usual, and plenty of online shopping has been done!

So, let’s begin, shall we.

Morphe 12NB Palette
I have been absolutely loving this palette during the month of March. It has a great selection of matte and shimmer shades. They are soo pigmented, it’s crazy good. Not only that you can pick this palette up for less than £15 depending on which retailer you use. You cannot go wrong with this purchase!

Trussardi Sunglasses
I bought myself these lovely glasses on one of my trips to TK Maxx, and the sun has been shining a little bit in March so they have had a few outings. I love the shape and they’re so comfortable to wearing. They complete my outfits!

RCMA No-Color Powder
I had seen lots of reviews and vlogs about this powder, and I had been using Vichy’s translucent powder which I love, so I thought it might be a hard one to beat. For the £8.95 price tag, it was rude not to give it a whirl. I’ve got to say I love this product. I think it is more finely milled in comparison to the Vichy equivilant and it is also weightless. You never seem to put too much on, it always looks flawless. Cannot recommend it enough.

Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream
I had been on the hunt for a good night cream, one that wasn’t too oily but that moisturised my skin overnight. This is ideal for normal/combo skin and leaves my skin healthy and happy. You cannot go wrong with Nivea 😍

Spectrum Brush B06 & Zoeva Soft Definer Brush 227
I was given these two brushes as part of a gift and they have revolutionised my eye shadow application. Together they make applying eye shadow so easy and the Spectrum brush especially is excellent for blending. I have been using them everyday during March and think they are both fab!

And last but not least…

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint
This beautiful product is sold as a skin tint as opposed to a foundation, however it’s excellent medium to full coverage says otherwise. I am the shade Finland, which is the second to lightest shade (pale and proud!). I only noticed shine after a good 6/7hours wear, and after powdering it was totally fine until the end of the day. It is more high end at £30 per tube, however you do get 50ml of product which is 20ml more than you get in most foundations. It’s definitely worth a try!

Hope you enjoyed reading my March Favourites… Let me know in the comments below.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? What should I try during the month of April?

Feature Favourites: Spring Scents

Discovering new favourite perfume is like finding heaven in a bottle. Whether you pop into the drugstore and take a whiff of a tester, or you smell it on someone else and stalk them until you dare ask them what they’re wearing – either way we have all been there.

I’ve collected a few perfume favourites over the years and these are my favourite florally scented perfumes which I think are great for Spring/Summer.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh
This has been a firm favourite scent for the last few years. It oozes sophistication whilst not being too serious.
It’s fruity and floral and I am always repurchasing this as I use it all the time!

Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: ruby red grapefruit, raspberry, green leaves, pear
Heart Notes: violet, wild rose, apple blossom, lychee, jasmine petals
Base Notes: musks, plum, cedarwood

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream
I first bought this perfume in around Autumn time last year. I am so impressed by how long it lasts, and I get so many compliments when I wear it.

Daisy Dream is both floral and fruity making it perfect for everyday wear.

Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear
Heart Notes: Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria
Base Notes: White Woods, Musks, Coconut Water

Jimmy Choo Blossom
This next one is newly acquired but equally as loved. It tastes good enough to drink…Imagine the perfume version of your favourite cocktail!

Fragrance Notes
Top Notes: Sweet Pea, Rose
Heart Notes: Berries, Citrus, Cocktails
Base Notes: White Musk, Sandalwood

Thanks for reading!

Feature Favourites: February

February has been a good month. It started well with my trip to Leeds with my sister, where I spent the majority of my wages on all things make up related. Since then I’ve been at work, caught up with friends and had myself some chill time too. I also got my hair done again, nothing as drastic as last month, just my roots topped up and a slightly different cut, look out for a picture on Instagram!

I can’t believe how fast time flies. It’s so true what people say,  time goes quicker the older you get. The school holidays seemed to last forever when I was younger (I’m sure it felt like forever for my parents and grandparents!) Now the weeks zoom by. I am so happy it’s nearly spring, I love seeing all the flowers sprouting up and driving home from work whilst it’s still light!

Enough of my ramblings, let us get down to business. Here are my favourites and where I got them:

Umbrella Notebook: TK Maxx
This little leather bound gem was all alone on the shelf in TK Maxx. I don’t know why, because I loved it straight away. Maybe people didn’t like the price tag? I think the fact it’s lovely soft leather makes it even more appealing. Anyways,  I shall be getting lots of use out of it!

Pixi by Petra Book of Beauty – Contour Creator: Marks and Spencer
Whilst in Leeds I picked up this stunning little contour palette. I had been looking for one but hadn’t expected to find this beauty! At £24 it wasn’t cheap, but considering you get 6 pans in it, that only works out at £4 each, which is fab. I use all the colour, 3 different contours, a pinky highlight, a white highlight which is ideal for blending out your contour, and finally a yellowy powder which is good to set your undereye. I definitely recommend this palette!

Osprey Leather Purse: TK Maxx
The RRP tag said £85, and this was in the reduced section for a mere £18. It is safe to say it hopped into my basket fairly swiftly. I am really picky with purses and bags, but I loved this one straight away, plus who doesn’t like a bargain?!

Bodyshop Colour Crush Eyeshadow in Oh, Honey: Bodyshop
I recently got to pick some freebies from Bodyshop and I needed a good base eyeshadow in a neutral colour. After a fair bit of deliberation, I chose this one. I have used it a few times now and love it! It lasts all day, doesn’t crease and is well pigmented and shimmery. Thumbs up from me.

L’Oréal Infallible Mattfying Primer: Boots
I don’t know what their magic formula has that other primers doesn’t. But man, do L’Oréal know how to make a mattifying primer! I get no shine, my foundation glides on like a dream and it moisturises my skin! Cannot recommend it enough if you struggle with shine.

Cluse Watch: Cluse website
I came across an advertisement whilst browsing and loved this watch straight away. It is similar to Daniel Wellington watches but is a much more reasonable price. The strap is grey leather and is interchangeable if you fancy a different colour! After not wearing a watch for years, I feel a little lost without it now!

Thanks for reading my February Favourites, hope you enjoyed it 🙂

Have you tried any of my favourites? What have been your go-to items this February?
